The Unique rain in Mombasa, Jamhuri day

 For a period of almost one month a strong and hot sunlight has been recorded in the whole of coast region. people had planted their maize and other crops but no rain. Normally, in the Coastal region it always rains in December.. small rain in November as it gets a little heavy towards the December.

Rain being an issue in the coast, over the years it always rain very little. but in times like this, almost ending the year october toward December there's always some little rain. but maybe not this time round of the year. 

Things have been so much different this time, even the professional weather forecasters gave wrong prediction for this year in the coast. they predicted a cold season towards the end of October but that never came to happen, infact sun got much hotter than normal. today being on monday, 12th of December, a Jamhuri day, of 2022 at around 5am, very thick clouds appeared in the sky. most of them came from the south..

It looked like it would rain for some minutes and go but things were not as they looked like!

the rain started at around 5:20's and by around 5:30 it started raining cats and dogs.

You see,here in coast rain normally shower for some minutes and sometimes occasionally it rains heavily but very rare. today the rain has brought many things to a stand still as it rained heavily from 5am to 9am without stopping.

People were unable to report to their working areas because of the heavy rain☔. the roads have reportedly been blocked by water all over.

its been very long since this was seen.

There's water all over and it looks like some kind of a flood. if the soil would have some little bit of clay and poor drainage, maybe the house would have been swept away by floods. 

the drainage system blocked and got flooded. They couldn't help get rid of the excess water.

Some companies lost a lot on this day since normal working hours has been interfered with. Even those who had cars 🚗 had difficult time driving and those who managed to het to work couldn't do anything because of the heavy rain.

The people around are glad that it has rained because when it rains at least the environment around becomes cool and there is less dust. Though many stayed indoor this day because the rain was remarkable this day. They will remember this.

After 9 a.m  it reduced and started to drizzle all the way to around 11 O'clock just before noon. this day will be remembered because a rain like this happens once in a while.

I remember when I was young in my grandmother's house there was a day which had rain like this and thunderstorm. It got me shivering. It long ago when I was almost 5 years old or so. Lightning⚡ kept striking at that time and I had to hold my grandma tight because I feared it would strike me and finish me. This made my grandma so afraid, she didn't like to see me that way but she couldn't help stop the rain and thunderstorms. When I remember this I just laugh at myself, it was so childish.

But this one here today has happened again. Just once again. We are glad for it, it's a blessing.
