Mombasa is becoming the cleanest city in the country


The county government of Mombasa together with the municipal council of Mombasa county are now working harder to make sure they meet their goal of tidying up the county. This has thereby brought so much into light since it was realised that Some areas were used as damping site whereas they could have been used constructively.


Like before this activity could have been handled just like those old days where it was roughly done and it was done to the places near the town areas where there are alot of activities going on, this time round the cleaning is meant to be thorough and inside out of the town and the whole of Mombasa and all its community and neighbours.


The County Council took its responsibility to allocate duties to sub-counties,wards,constituency and the whole community at large and ensuring they are done with the standard that was agreed upon. county council therefore selected supervisors, foremen, craftsmen and other labourers to work to ensure the county is in better condition when it comes to cleanliness.


Big thanks to our present Governor H.E  ABDULSWAMAD SHARIFF NASSIR together with his entire team in the offices for the good work!  His presence is felt in the town. Mombasa County Government is now very keen, looking and ensuring that the goal set is achieved. the goal being Mombasa to be ranked as one of the top thee of the cleanest towns in the country. 


Honestly, with the progress so far, this is seen to be achieved in no time🕒. From the look of it, The County government offices must have been so serious with this. Those serious meetings held in those offices are now seen bearing fruits.



Cleaning started at the town centre and it environs about a week ago. workers were seen to be very committed. they must have been in the meeting of the discussion about the goal. With how thinga are going right now everyone can tell that Mombasa county has changed in just a week now! 

Roads, streets, Pavements, Bridges, Pathways, flyovers and even footbridges, now are more clean and more fresh than before. Allocated workers are cleaning on daily basis. roads labeling was done and fixed broken and faulty areas.




Street light are being repaired and the broken ones replaced.This started in the town and are still on the move till they get to every street. Those old small bushes along the roads are being cleared and removed. the small areas where people urinate along the road are being disinfected and removed. Good grass and flowers🌺🌻🌹🌷 are being planted. streets now appear to be more lit and safer to walk even at night.

In deed the work is being done.. if you ask anyone living in Mombasa right now, they will tell you that there is a difference. 


We need more of this because it's more positive. There has been creation of employment in the county, there has been proper utilisation of County resources, one now can enjoy walking through a clean and fresh town 🌇.

Everybody that I walked with since this exercise started is saying "Mombasa imekuwa bora" to mean that "Mombasa has become better"

it's more admirable now!

This means that job opportunity are unlimited, all the way from food factories to iron sheets industries. Those old days one could say that Mombasa is old town with less work. Now its super amazing when you come to Mombasa.
